Laser Peels

Laser Peels

Also known as laser skin resurfacing, laser peels direct short, concentrated pulses of light at irregular skin. Laser skin resurfacing removes skin very precisely, layer-by-layer, by vaporizing it. Lasers remove the outer layer of your skin and heat the underlying layer, which stimulates the growth of new collagen, resulting in skin that is smoother and firmer.

Laser peels work in the same way as chemical peels, that is the focusing of light energy onto the skin to eliminate dead layers of skin and encourage new layers of skin to grow. To be precise, they act as anti-aging agents as they smooth out skin, eradicate wrinkles and combat pigmentation

Lasers involved in a laser peel produce minimal discomfort to the patients. Anesthesia is not normally used but if needed then numbing cream is usually applied to the area where the procedure will take place to avoid any discomfort.
